Sixers and Timberwolves

alright so most of you who actually follow to the sixers are probably aware of the rumor with the timberwolves.

"One trade rumor that briefly circulated here involved the Sixers and the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Timberwolves want Turner and would give the Sixers their No. 4 and No. 16 picks in exchange for the second pick."

well lets take that a step further now.. because thats the old rumor... the NEW rumor is that the timberwolves want evan turner (assuming that the wizards pick Wall) so badly that they're willing to give away Al Jefferson for the #2 pick... now u might say... "evan turner could possibly be a franchise player.. sooo why take jefferson?" well... theres the catch... word is that the sixers player that they are trying to get rid of the most is elton brand. and the timberwolves are willing to take on his atrocious overpaid contract in hopes of baiting the sixers to give them their #2 pick.

that means:
sixers - get Al Jefferson
t'wolves - get #2 pick (evan turner), elton brand

sixers starting lineup could be:
pg - jrue holiday
sg - andre iguodala
sf - thaddeus young
pf - al jefferson
c - samuel dalembert

wolves:
pg - jonny flynn
sg - #2 pick (evan turner)
sf - corey brewer
pf - kevin love
c - #4 pick

yes theyd still have their #4 pick... and im just assuming that they would draft the most capable center there... maybe demarcus cousins. he's slipped recently in the draftboard... but here he would make a lot of sense.. maybe they could trade the #4 pick for a lower pick and get a role player at the same time.

wolves outcome:
the timberwolves would be so loaded with young talent and their rookie contracts that having elton brand come off the bench wouldn't be a bad idea at all. soo yes this sixers/wolves trade makes all the sense in the world for them. and theres that slim chance that ricky rubio will come to town... but thats highly unlikely.

sixers outcome:
sixers get in al jefferson what they wanted in elton brand. a power forward who knows how to score in the post and can BE the go to scorer when needed. he's also a very good rebounder and is more athletic than elton brand. which fits the sixers play style better. the risk here is that in jefferson's 6 years, he has only played 1 full season. and the rest of his years have been injury plagued.

overall:
looks very good for the wolves if accepted.. but just so-so for the sixers. i would rather see them get evan turner with the second pick. and like i said... for the teams that don't win this offseason in the free agency craziness, we could probably move an unwanted contract outta here.
